Everlast® #90 "Breeze-Easy" Line Tightener for Clotheslines
At last, a line tightener that is easy to load, tighten, and release! Our most recent addition to the Everlast product line, the Line Tightener has been engineered for simple and effective setup and maintenance of rope tension in clothesline loops, single line clotheslines, and other rope systems. Molded with a reinforced impact-resistant engineering polymer, the Line Tightener is designed to be a workhorse even after years of weathering. The internal springs are stainless steel.
The unit can be anchored in a variety of ways to suite the application: Through the main ring by line or hook, or through two specially designed #10 screw holes through the housing. To load the rope, simply pinch together the levers of spring loaded jaws, insert the free line in the direction of the embossed arrow, and "cinch up" until the desired tension is reached.
Works especially well with 3/16", 1/4", and 3/8" solid rope. Not recommended for hollow rope or plastic cord because those jaws need something to grab onto. This is a tough little tightener when properly used, but we always make it clear that it is not for overhead lifting, support of human weight, or other situations in which personal safety or valuable property could be endangered.
